At the end of 2023, Binnopharm Group completed the Russian part of the post-registration observational study of the antiviral drug Kagocel® in adult patients with acute respiratory viral infections, which involved 10,000 patients aged 18 to 75 years.

The main conclusion, based on the results obtained so far, is the confirmation of a significant reduction in symptoms of acute respiratory viral infections in patients on the background of Kagocel® administration, regardless of the severity of the disease, age and presence of comorbidities in real clinical practice. This therapy option was accompanied by high adherence of patients to treatment and a favorable safety profile.

Currently, an observational study of the antiviral drug Kagocel® is ongoing in the Republic of Kazakhstan, with 1,000 adult patients planned to participate.

Binnopharm Group is developing a research database that will enable a better understanding of the impact of the company's drugs on patients and enable doctors to make evidence-based decisions when prescribing treatment.

The results of the study will be published in leading scientific and medical journals in 2024.

Natalia Oliferuk, Head of Medical Department, Binnopharm Group: "One of the most important tasks of Binnopharm Group remains to provide the Russian market with drugs with proven efficacy and safety. Conducting observational studies helps to obtain data on the efficacy and safety of medicines in real clinical practice and provides healthcare professionals with information for informed prescribing of medicines and confidence in their therapeutic effects. In 2023, the Company ran 21 post-registration studies involving 308 medical centers, 650 doctors and 15.5 thousand patients. Some of them have been completed - the efficacy and safety of many drugs from our portfolio have been confirmed, and new effects have been identified, which will allow us to further expand the areas of their use".
