Binnopharm Group launches new combined oral contraceptive on the market

Binnopharm Group, one of the leaders of the Russian pharmaceutical market, is launching a new combined oral contraceptive, CHLORETTA® (chlormadinone + ethinylestradiol), into commercial availability. The drug is intended for effective contraception and can be used in patients with androgen-dependent conditions.
The medicinal product contains a micronized substance of chlormadinone acetate-progestogen with proven antiandrogenic activity. Due to this, the drug not only provides reliable contraception but also helps reduce androgen levels in a woman's body, allowing its use in the comprehensive therapy of conditions associated with hyperandrogenism.
The efficacy and safety of the drug have been confirmed by clinical data. CHLORETTA® is bioequivalent to the original combined oral contraceptive, ensuring predictability of therapy and the expected clinical outcome.
In addition to its contraceptive effect, the drug may help improve skin condition in patients with acne and reduce manifestations of androgen-dependent dermatopathy. The drug has virtually no effect on libido and does not cause significant changes in body weight, which supports high treatment adherence.
