The Binnopharm Group production site has received its registration certificate from the Iraqi Ministry of Health
The Sintez plant in Kurgan, a Binnopharm Group production site, has successfully passed inspection and received an official registration certificate issued by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Iraq. The document confirms that production complies with international standards of good manufacturing practice and is valid until December 14, 2030.
The certificate obtained entitles the holder to supply a wide range of medicinal products to Iraq. These include sterile injectable forms, including antibiotics (penicillins and cephalosporins), ophthalmic solutions, products for infusions, as well as tablets, capsules, and liquid forms for internal use. Based on this decision, the company has already begun the process of marketing authorization for its first five drug products in Iraq, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Rustem Muratov, CEO, Binnopharm Group: «Obtaining certification from the Iraqi regulator is the practical implementation of plans to develop “long-distance” exports and an important victory in a complex, protected market with high barriers to entry. We are also preparing our other production sites for certification. Entering the Iraqi market will complement our active work in Southeast Asia, where we are opening representative offices and registering drug products».
Binnopharm Group is the leader among Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers in neighboring countries. Entering the Iraqi market creates a foundation for strengthening the export portfolio and expanding presence in strategically important markets in the Middle East.
